Privacy policy

We collect only what we need to deliver your order and look after you, and we handle it as the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) requires.

What we collect

• Your name, email, phone number, delivery and billing address.
• Your order history and any messages you send us.
• Basic browsing data (pages viewed, device type) through cookies, so the shop works and we can improve it.

We never see or store your full card details. Card payments are processed by our payment provider. For EFT payments we only see the reference and amount on our bank statement.

Why we use it

• To process, deliver and support your order, including returns and warranty claims.
• To answer your questions.
• To send you news and deals, only if you've signed up. Every email has an unsubscribe link.

Who we share it with

• Shopify, which hosts our shop. Its servers are outside South Africa and it protects your data to standards similar to POPIA.
• Our payment provider, to process card payments.
• Our courier, to deliver your order.
• Product suppliers, only where needed for a warranty claim.

We never sell your information.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, have it deleted, or object to us using it for marketing. Contact us through the Contact page on shop.tenzbuild.co.za. If you're unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Regulator at inforeg.org.za.

We keep order records for as long as tax and consumer law require, then delete them.
